Steve is a Co-Founder and Managing Director HGGC, a middle market private equity firm. Prior to the inception of HGGC, Steve was a member in Sorenson Capital and Northgate Capital. Steve’s professional football career spanned more than fifteen years, primarily with the San Francisco 49ers, where he received numerous accolades, including Most Valuable Player of Super Bowl XXIX, Sports Illustrated and The Sporting News’ Player of the Year from 1992 - 1994 and the NFL’s Most Valuable Player for 1992 and 1994. Steve has been inducted into the College and Pro Football Halls of Fame. Steve earned his BS and JD degrees from Brigham Young University.
